Common questions
- What counts as one domain?
- A single registered domain and its subdomains, e.g. example.com and app.example.com both count as one domain.
- Can I use it on localhost during development?
- Yes — localhost, 127.0.0.1, and *.local are always exempt from license domain checks.
- What happens if my license expires?
- The viewer continues to render normally; it just shows a small "Powered by pdfli" badge until the license is renewed.
- I'm an open-source project. Do I need a license?
- No. pdfli is MIT-licensed and free for open-source and personal use. The commercial license is only required for closed-source commercial products.
